If you could give your high school self a piece of advice, what would it be?

High school seems like a very dire place in time. Try and take a step back and jump into things you find interest in and not what you might think that others will think is interesting.

Did you have any goals that pushed you throughout high school? How did you approach those? Are you still pursuing them now that you're out of high school? If not, why?

I understood that my family’s plans for me did not entail jumping into a 4 year university from the get go, so I moved forward with the motivation of understanding that I am more than capable accomplishing my goals without taking the same path as other. Which at evergreen can feel lonely given the academic atmosphere and competition. Currently I have surpassed most of my peers and am working to complete my goals on an accelerated track that has impressed even those in my field.

What experience had the greatest impact on you at EVHS?

Being apart of a sports team really molded my experience in high school. Day in and day out I was alway motivated for what was to come because I knew I would get to take part in my sport that day from season to season

Have you kept some relationships with the people you were with in high school?

I have definitely maintained various relationships with people from high school however you’ll find there’s a natural time spent apart in order to meet others and find your interests after high school.

Do you still live in San Jose? Why or why not?

I don’t live in San Jose but near by now, I was presented with the opportunity to move away from home and support myself after school and from that I have been able to grow and learn a lot!

What was your primary academic/extracurricular focus in high school?

Sports and academics were certainly my focus throughout high school. Primarily soccer, I had friends on the team and was able to enjoy taking my mind off other events going on

Are you in college? If so, which college and what major? Are you working? If so, where? If you're not in either of these, what are you doing now?

Yes, I am currently in trade school and working as a first responder. My class schedule has been intense since having left Evergreen, with so many points of focus, I am enrolled in the Paramedic Program at Foothill one of the best known in California
