Class of
2011
I'm currently a software developer based out of the bay area. I attended EVHS graduating class of 2011, attended CC for two years, and graduated from UCSD. I majored in Math/Econ and attended law school for a few weeks, then dropped out. After that, I spent about 2 years studying development and have been a full time SE ever since.

If you could give your high school self a piece of advice, what would it be?
Consistency over intensity
Did you have any goals that pushed you throughout high school? How did you approach those? Are you still pursuing them now that you're out of high school? If not, why?
In high school I had a dream of becoming a professional gambler and/or eSports player. Neither of those things panned out :)
What experience had the greatest impact on you at EVHS?
It was the beginning of my junior year and I had again fallen asleep in Mr Vu's precalculus class. I had him before break, so I usually lingered after class ended just because I had nowhere particular to be after class ended. By this time I had proven myself to be woefully unremarkable as a student to Mr. Vu. I don't remember what happened during class that day, but before leaving I distinctly recall Mr. Vu telling me that I wasn't bad at math - I was just extremely lazy.
From then on, I proceeded to work harder than I ever had before at that class, and I managed a B by the end of the year. This was a lot better than the C I received last year in Algebra 2, and eventually set me up to take mathematics more seriously during university.
Have you kept some relationships with the people you were with in high school?
Do you still live in San Jose? Why or why not?
No, it's too expensive :)
What was your primary academic/extracurricular focus in high school?
Video games and guitar
Are you in college? If so, which college and what major? Are you working? If so, where? If you're not in either of these, what are you doing now?
I work as an SE
