Class of
2022
I graduated from EV as part of the 2022 class. Throughout high school I spent a lot of time doing organizing work, mainly with the Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA). I founded a chapter of YDSA at EV in my senior year. I also was President of the Political Activism Club for 3 years. I'm currently at UC Berkeley as a 2nd semester Freshman majoring in Legal Studies.

If you could give your high school self a piece of advice, what would it be?
Spend more time finding things I was interested in. Doing this helped me find out what I wanted to do in college and what my interests were. Also read a lot more! Humanities majors have to read a ridiculous amount and I wish I had built up more reading endurance in high school.
Did you have any goals that pushed you throughout high school? How did you approach those? Are you still pursuing them now that you're out of high school? If not, why?
Definitely starting my YDSA chapter. I wanted to create a space for left wing organizing at my high school and it was a dream come true when I was finally able to. I am still pursuing this goal in the sense that I'm heavily involved with the YDSA chapter at UC Berkeley.
What experience had the greatest impact on you at EVHS?
Have you kept some relationships with the people you were with in high school?
Some, mostly with people I've done club work with before I graduated. I like to check in when I can and answer any questions they may have.
Do you still live in San Jose? Why or why not?
No. I live in Berkeley, CA due to college.
What was your primary academic/extracurricular focus in high school?

Are you in college? If so, which college and what major? Are you working? If so, where? If you're not in either of these, what are you doing now?
