I grew up in Michigan and moved to NYC and then to San Francisco. After getting my teacher credential I moved to San Jose to work at EV. I am married to Mr. Devincenzi (Gov/Econ) and we have 2 kids and 2 cats. I love reading, writing, watching HGTV, hiking, skiing, traveling and drinking coffee.

ERWC–personal statements, Op-Ed essays, Mock Trial, Multi-Genre project, capstone presentation at the end of the year.
Introduce yourself (Name, department, class number, periods you teach and how long you have been teaching)
What do your classes cover?
ERWC: Reading, writing, discussion on a variety of topics. We read fiction and nonfiction, long essays and short articles, etc.
Whats one fun fact about you?
How should students prepare to take your class? What are things they should know before taking your class?
Read independently. Read/view every kind of media and genre and be critical of it. Share with others what you read/watch and ask questions about it. Be curious about the world/news/current events/culture and do research on your own. Write often even if it's just notes. Write clearly and concisely.
What advice would you give to incoming students?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions in class. Make yourself known to your teachers so that if you encounter any issues or need help you have a relationship with them already. Be prepared for class everyday so that your time isn’t wasted. Keep your phones on silent or in your bag during classes.
What are some big projects or things you learn in your class?
What are some of your involvements on campus? (ex: advisor for ___ club)
