Photography 1 & 2 students are exposed to a variety of visual expressions whether it be a variety of dark room activities, such as working with pinhole cameras, photograms, or physiograms. They also get exposure by working with 35 mm digital cameras, still life and portrait photography in the studio environment. Students also go on photo shoots outside the classroom, while trying to see the world in a different light. When they are done capturing their images, they come back to the classroom and edit their work in a photo editing software. All during this creative process, they will apply color theory and the elements and principles of design in order to create a composition that conveys a message with meaning.

Art and Photography are similar in that they both capture reality and are both forms of creative expression.
Whats one fun fact about you?
How should students prepare to take your class? What are things they should know before taking your class?
Students should take the Visual Arts with an open mind and learn to think outside the box.
What advice would you give to incoming students?
Use your time wisely at EVHS. It's a golden opportunity to plan for your future.
